Recommendation: AssistWig!

Hello everyone!

My personal favourite month of the year started (not only because my birthday is in December X//D) and I hope you had a nice start into Christmas month!
Enjoy all the lights and the mood and the food! <3

I miss some things in Tokyo though D///

Today I would like to introduce you one of my favourite cosplay shops here in Tokyo!
AssistWig is located in Ikebukuro and it's actually not pretty hard to miss! I mentioned it in my very first entry!

I have to be honest that it doesn't look very impressive from the outside, but it's totally worth to go inside!

Apart from their name they do not only offer a huge variety of wigs, but also lenses, make-up, some shoes, shapewear, school uniforms etc etc.!

And the variety of wig colors is honestly amazing! It feels like looking at a rainbow made of wigs <3 I really love how many shades of one color they offer, no matter if it's a basic or a premium wig! I like to look for specific wigs there, since I am very picky concerning some colors and always like to have THAT kind of shade then. Usually I have to dye my wigs then or sew two colors together to create a special look (what happened to me often latetly, since many wigs I ordered online didn't have the color I wanted them to have DX). The wigs also have a wonderful quality and are soooo smoooth!

Do you see all the colors!? I love it! I had no problems finding my wig for Anna here. My next entry will about the wig I used for her and how I styled it, so you will find more information regarding the quality etc. there in two weeks! In case you don't know if a color suits you: They have mirrors inside and you can try the wig on! Really amazing!

Apart from wigs they have also a lot of small and big things you might need for your costume.
If needed you can buy your lenses there, some make-up, face-tape, wig heads, styling material etc. I bought some face-tape to try it for Anna, since I want to avoid my face looking too chubby D//x let's see if it works somehow! I also like the shapewear you can buy x//D No matter if you want to look more slim or curvy! If I wouldn't be so curvy I would definitely buy some things there (ACOS also offers very nice fake boob cleavage, it looks so neat! If you need cleavage for a costume, but don't want to show your own or need more of it you can just buy it!)

In the basement (the first time I was inside I missed to go downstairs) they also sell some school uniforms for your cosplay and many different kinds of shoes!
But be aware that the prices for the shoes are very high, it's actually pretty expensive (in my opinion).

I really enjoy shopping there! You can get a lot of things except wigs there, some things may be of course more pricey than others. I like to explore cosplay shops a lot, since you can find a lot of things there which you won't find easily in Germany or you may need to import them.

Of course AssistWig doen't have everything you need and it may be also worth it to visit other cosplaystores as ACOS as well to compare prices or see if they have something similar. I also love the things ACOS sells, like patches covering tattoos or scars (or eyebrows), fake beards etc.

In case you enjoy cosplaying or are interested in it: Consider visiting those stores on your next trip to Tokyo or take a look at their pages online! Everything I wrote here is unpaid advertisement of course and only reflects my opinion of those shops <3

If you are interested in specific product, wig colors etc. always feel free to contact me! I may write an entry on those or can take a look for you next time I'm there!
The next entry will be about Anna's wig and how I styled and cut it, I hope you are looking forward to it! I will also upload another entry with a (for now) secret topic at the same day!

See you on December 16! <333

ABOUT ME

Hello!

My name is Kristina, in cosplay better known as 'Maoh'.

I'm a cosplayer from Germany and sharing this hobby with many people worldwide since 2006.

I like to cosplay from games and anime and most of my costumes are  sewn by myself.
I really like to work on small details and give my costumes a personal touch! I always loved to surround myself with creative hobbies and cosplay makes it possible for me to be creative in so many different ways! Sewing, crafting, stitching, wig styling - I love doing everything of it with the bottom of my heart and wear the costumes with love on conventions or at photoshootings.

My second hobby is gaming and I really love to game a lot. My favourite series is FINAL FANTASY!

I hope you will like the progress and the pictures I am going to show here!
It's nice to meet you!
